"The home has always been a passion of mine. I believe that it is an expression of one's self -- a part of their identity. I believe that it should be the place where an individual and/or family can come and be refreshed and nurtured in preparation of facing a not always friendly world. It should be a refuge and haven where it's dwellers can safely be themselves. Of course, the house structure does not make all these wonderful things happen, but it is the place where these things have the opportunity to happen. Housing, home design and drafting courses were the favorite part of my college home economics curriculum and I have always been intrigued by the warmth and coziness of log homes. After talking with Charlie Maney, the founder/CEO of Log Homes of America, Inc, about the responsibilities and opportunities, I enthusiastically agreed to become a dealer/member, helping others realize their dream of log home living."
